Buying guide

Which used rod welding machine do you need?

This section brings together used rod welding machines, from brands such as Forma, OTC and VARO, designed for manufacturing mesh, reinforcement cages and welded rod components by resistance welding at the crossing point, with different power ratings depending on the diameter they originally welded and the number of points per cycle.

01

Electrodes and pressure system

In rod welding, the critical elements are the electrodes and the pressure application system at the weld point. Before buying, confirm their condition and that the machine accepts the diameter range you need to weld in your regular production, without needing to reinforce the existing electrical installation.

02

Power and time control

A poorly adjusted power and welding-time control system can create weak points that are hard to detect until the part fails in service. Check it before bringing the equipment into stable production in your plant, along with the general condition of the wiring.

03

Test before buying

Request a welding test on the real diameter you’re going to work with, to confirm the joint strength meets your part’s requirement before putting it into definitive, stable production.
