Cut-off machines and laser tube cutting. Depending on your geometry and reference mix.

Disc cutting or contactless laser cutting, in standard and high-output ranges.

Laser adds flexibility when production combines many different parts.

Buying guide

Which cutting technology do you need?

Cutting tube and profile is mainly solved with two technologies: the cut-off machine, which cuts with a disc, and laser, which cuts without physical contact. The decision depends on the part’s geometry and how much your production varies between references.

01

Cut-off machine or laser cutting

The cut-off machine handles straight or miter cuts at medium and high volumes, with contained operating cost. Laser tube cutting brings precision to complex geometries — bevels, holes, marking — without a tooling change between different references, which makes it more flexible when production combines many different parts.

02

Standard production or high output

Within both technologies, the catalog includes high-output equipment and multi-head models, which cut several parts per cycle. They make sense when the pace per shift is high and stable, in exchange for a higher investment and more maintenance than a single-head machine.

03

One material or several

If your production combines carbon steel, stainless steel and aluminum, confirm that the equipment accepts cutting parameters for all three: aluminum in particular requires a specific disc and feed speed compared to steel and stainless, which do share similar parameters with each other.
