Precision rod trimming. Before or after the bending process.

In line with straightening, or as a final adjustment on an already-formed part.

A small length error repeated on every part becomes an assembly problem.

Buying guide

Which rod trimming machine do you need?

The trimming machine cuts rod to a precise length, either as an operation before bending — starting from bar or from already-straightened coil — or as a final adjustment on an already-formed part that needs excess material removed before assembly or welding.

01

Before or after bending

It’s common to integrate it in line with the straightening machine, so the rod is cut to exact length right after coil curvature is removed, or as a station after bending when the part requires a precision trim on the already-bent end.

02

Length tolerance

The selection criteria are the rod diameter you need to cut and the length tolerance required by the final part. In series production, a small length error repeated on every part turns into a fit problem when assembling the finished component.

03

Speed compatible with the line

When the trimming machine works in line with the straightening machine, both machines must be sized for the same process speed, so that neither one limits the other’s pace throughout the shift. It’s a detail that’s easy to overlook when buying each machine separately.
